Info
Canadian alt-pop and rock take the spotlight when The Beaches, Lights and LØLØ hit Burton Cummings Theatre in Winnipeg on August 14, 2026. Three visions of catchy, guitar-friendly pop and synth-driven hooks meet on the same stage for a night built for big choruses and tight grooves.
The Beaches land with the punch of a four-piece that’s honed its chemistry on the road. Born in Toronto, the band threads riff-led indie rock with hints of 70s attitude and new wave detail. From Late Show to the pop-rock tilt of Blame My Ex, their writing sticks to everyday stories, friendship and messy romance, funneled into direct, melodic songs that lock in fast on stage.
Lights brings a synth-pop universe where crisp keyboards and a clear, upfront voice drive the songs. Early cuts from The Listening and Siberia sit naturally next to the more polished pull of Little Machines and the narrative world of Skin & Earth, while PEP pushes a bright, rhythmic edge. Live, she moves between pulsing electronics and stripped moments without losing the thread.
LØLØ closes the loop with alt-pop energy and a pop‑punk streak shaped by 2000s guitars. Journal-style lyrics, sharp hooks and a touch of grunge attitude run through her EPs and her first album, Falling for Robots and Wishing I Was One. On stage, it’s confessional but immediate, built to be shouted back from the crowd.
