On 1 October 2026 at Backstage & O'Sullivans By The Mill (Paris 18th arrondissement), The Devil and the Almighty Blues arrives with its tense, gritty blues rock from Oslo. The Norwegian quintet shapes slow, massive tracks where electricity spreads in waves: vintage Gibson guitars, tube amps, stretched riffs, heavy rhythms and dark vocals steeped in traditional blues. Heavy without veering into metal, slow without descending into doom, their songwriting relies on repetition, gradual build-ups and psychedelic hues inherited from the seventies, balancing melancholic melodies with collective tension. A blues-based approach to rock, raw and melodic, that carves its own path well away from radio formats.
Opening the bill, Skyjoggers, a space-rock trio from Tampere, Finland, sets a more cosmic scene. Their sound leans toward psychedelia, with expanded horizons and an emphasis on instrumental energy: a soaring yet edgy counterpoint that lays the groundwork while broadening the spectrum. Two visions of rock driven by blues and exploration, united the same night in the heart of Pigalle.
