LSD and the Search for God

On October 2, 2026 at Hafenklang, Hamburg, LSD and the Search for God bring their San Francisco shoegaze to the stage. Active since the mid‑2000s, the band sculpts swirling guitar layers, feedback haze and unhurried rhythms into pop‑leaning melodies and breathy vocal harmonies. Early on they drew parallels to My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive or Spacemen 3; live, they favor immersion and dynamics, letting volume and texture carry the songs.

Their self‑titled debut EP set the tone with five tracks that still resonate in concert. Starting Over became a touchstone, its submerged harmonies and interlaced guitars sliding from quiet intimacy to broad walls of sound. Years later, Heaven Is a Place refined that balance of fuzz, reverb and melody, widening the palette without losing the dreamy blur.

On stage, they thread these pieces into a continuous flow: drones that hover, riffs that swell, harmonies that float just under the surface. Shoegaze, dream pop and a dose of space rock, played loud and close, for a show that leans on atmosphere and slow‑burn tension rather than spectacle.
