The HU

The HU arrive in Paris on 27 October 2026 at the Olympia. Born in Ulaanbaatar in 2016, the quartet imposes its hunnu rock, a dense blend of throat singing, morin khuur and metallic riffs. Sung entirely in Mongolian, their songs evoke steppe imagery and warrior choirs, tailor-made for the stage. Brought to attention with “Yuve Yuve Yu” and “Wolf Totem,” they went on to play international tours and festivals, from Glastonbury to North American arenas opening for Iron Maiden.

Their debut album The Gereg (2019) laid the foundations of a sound both traditional and direct, followed by Rumble of Thunder (2022), which amplifies the heavy impact. The band has built bridges with pop culture and Western metal, from their original track for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order to their cover of “Through the Never” on The Metallica Blacklist. Honored at home with the Order of Chinggis Khaan, they are preparing a third album described as an expanded version of their formula.

On stage, expect a rhythmic trance, haunting melodies supported by amplified ancestral instruments, and a collective intensity that melds with the audience. A rare occasion to experience The HU’s sonic signature live, between Mongolian heritage and rock power.
