Info
On 24 September 2026 Laurence Jones will perform solo at Patronaat in Haarlem. The British guitarist and singer comes from the British blues tradition and writes songs that put the song first. Compact riffs, classic-rock drive and soul accents remain, but without a band: solo he lays his melodies and lyrics bare, with a direct guitar tone and the voice front and centre. Since his debut, Jones has steadily built a string of records, from Temptation and What’s It Gonna Be to Take Me High and The Truth. Recent releases such as Destination Unknown and Bad Luck & The Blues steered his sound back toward a raw, no-nonsense approach; in solo form that material takes on a different color, closer to the core of the songs.
Amy Eftekhari opens. The singer-songwriter from Nottingham moves between acoustic pop and folk, with guitar and piano serving spare, personal songs. After her first EP All the Words in 2011 she worked extensively as a backing vocalist and in studio sessions, and returned to her own material with the EP project This Moment (2026), co-produced with Laurence Jones and Wayne Proctor. As the support act she keeps things minimal: voice up front, songs compact and unadorned.
