Kasalla

Kasalla brings their Kölsch rock to Amsterdam on 18 April 2026 at Melkweg. Formed in 2011 around singer Bastian Campmann and songwriter Florian Peil, the band mixes rock and pop with a touch of ska, consistently sung in the Cologne (Kölsch) dialect. Their early records, from Et jitt Kasalla! (2012) to Immer en Bewäjung (2013), set the tone: direct songs with melodic guitars and choruses that carry you along. With Us der Stadt mit K (2014) the group anchored itself more firmly in Cologne city life, while Mer sin Eins (2017) allowed more room for group vocals and mid‑tempo grooves. On Rudeldiere (2022) Kasalla expanded their palette further, moving between exuberant party tracks and more restrained moments, without losing their Kölsch signature.

Live, it’s about singing together and rhythms that keep you moving. The band switches smoothly between carnival energy, club drive and festival-sized hooks. Guitars outline clear melodies, the rhythm section stays tight and light, and the dialect lyrics remain close and recognizable. At Melkweg Amsterdam that mix comes together: energetic, melodic and straightforward, with space for sing-along choruses and songs that stick in your head.
