Ntjam Rosie

Ntjam Rosie will perform on 29 May 2026 at TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht. The vocalist and songwriter, born in Cameroon and raised in the Netherlands, developed in Rotterdam a distinct sound in which modern jazz, soul and R&B organically merge with African influences. On stage she seeks the balance between intimate songs and tight grooves, with melody as a constant guiding thread.

Since her debut she has built a repertoire that sounds both warm and rhythmic: the openness of jazz, subtle electronics and percussion drawing on Afro traditions. Her more recent work breathes an intimate, direct atmosphere, with English-language lyrics and traces of her Cameroonian roots. Live, this translates into compact arrangements with room for interplay and dynamics, in which voice, keys and rhythm section come together.
