Blaze Bayley

On Thursday 7 May 2026, Blaze Bayley will perform at Dynamo in Eindhoven. Born in Birmingham, he took his first steps as a musician with Wolfsbane and in 1994 stepped up as Iron Maiden’s frontman, recording The X Factor and Virtual XI with the band. He then continued as a solo artist under his own name, releasing albums such as Silicon Messiah, Tenth Dimension and Blood & Belief: traditionally rooted heavy metal with swift attacks, melodic guitars and a low, grainy voice. From The Man Who Would Not Die and Promise and Terror onward he established a steady band and shifted the emphasis toward straightforward riffs and tightly constructed choruses. With the trilogy Infinite Entanglement, Endure and Survive and The Redemption of William Black he explored themes between science fiction and introspection, without abandoning the core of his sound. On stage Bayley keeps things energetic and to the point, focusing on vocal lines and guitar work that carry the songs. On 7 May at Dynamo, Eindhoven: heavy metal rooted in tradition, delivered by a singer who has followed his own path.
