Pixies

On 19 July 2026 the Pixies play PLT - Theater Heerlen. Since 1986 Black Francis, Joey Santiago and David Lovering have been putting the pieces of alternative rock into place: short arcs of tension, whisper-to-loud dynamics, surreal imagery and razor-sharp riffs. With Surfer Rosa and Doolittle they established a grammar of their own that still resonates; their approach became a touchstone for bands such as Nirvana, Radiohead and Weezer. Songs like Where Is My Mind?, Debaser and Monkey Gone to Heaven exemplify that line, combining melody with a ragged edge.
