On 16 May 2026 Joey Valence & Brae perform at Melkweg in Amsterdam. The Pennsylvania duo bring 90s rap aesthetics into the present: sample-driven beats, playful pop references and a driving tempo. They met on campus, began producing DIY and broke through in 2021 with “Punk Tactics,” the viral track that spread their name far and wide. That was followed by The Underground Sound (2022) and the album Punk Tactics (2023), with which they staked out their territory between old-school hip hop, alternative rap and an openly geeky culture.

Live, it’s about tight interplay between the two, short hooks and a no-nonsense approach: they handle production, visuals and performance themselves.
