Jam XIV

Jam de Cul returns to the Sample for its 14th edition on 6 March 2026 in Bagnolet. A laboratory of improvisation and experimentation, this session brings together artists suited to the intersection of jazz, club and sound system. On drums, Soto sets the pulse. Eiger Drums Propaganda (The Pilotwings) moves between voice and wind instruments. H2O layers sampler and synths while Alexandre Herer makes the Rhodes and keyboards sing. Sim Tranber weaves textures on modulars, synths and bass, and Delskiz distills dub grain and delays.

Together they deploy a live performance in constant evolution, conceived as a continuum where motifs and counter-melodies interlock, stretch and collide. Not a fixed set, but a fluid navigation between minimal trance, free-leaning surges, cosmic pads and heavy bass, with listening as their compass. The stage becomes a collective testing ground, a procession of machines that comes to life and draws the audience into a gradual immersion. Technical inquiry, ensemble interplay and a sense of risk guide the evening, in a long-format set where the build-up of tension is constructed step by step, closely attuned to the interactions and discoveries of the moment.
