Toc Toc de Laurent Baffie

Written by Laurent Baffie, Toc Toc brings together six patients suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorders in the waiting room of Dr. Stern, a neuropsychiatrist who has been expected for months. Palilalia, Gilles de la Tourette syndrome, nosophobia (fear of illness) or an inability to walk on the lines: each person arrives with their own quirk, and the doctor’s absence pushes them to talk to one another, size each other up, and invent games to pass the time. Under the pressure of tics and automatic behaviors, exchanges collide, familiar reference points shift, and an unlikely group gradually takes shape through the course of the dialogues.

On 2 July 2026 at the Théâtre Beaulieu in Nantes, Pascal Maillard signs the staging and directs an ensemble led by Mathieu Gaudin, Marie Elie, Sophie Morin, Nelly Pichotbadeaud, Kamal Rawas and Olivier Collin. Baffie works here on his taste for offbeat situations and verbal mechanics, in a situational comedy that emphasizes listening and rhythm, transforming the waiting period into a playground where each character reveals their obsessions.
