Malena Zavala

Argentinian-born, London-based artist and producer Malena Zavala brings her genre-blending sound to Artheater in Cologne on 6 March 2026. After a DIY debut with Aliso and a turn toward Afro-Latin grooves on La Yarará, she now tours her new album If This Life Could Start Again, a work structured like a mountain ascent. The live set follows that arc, starting in folk and synth-pop textures before leaning into funk and rock, mapping a steady climb from quiet introspection to fuller, rhythmic release.

On stage, Zavala moves between English and Spanish, layering airy vocals, shimmering guitars and warm percussion. Immersive visuals guide the audience through the album’s chapters, giving shape to the emotional thread without overloading the senses. Her songwriting keeps a close, intimate core while psych-tinged atmospheres and South American rhythms push the arrangements forward. This EU/UK tour is built as one continuous journey rather than a sequence of singles, a focused translation of a studio vision by an artist who writes, produces and performs her music end to end.
