Info

On September 14, 2026 at History in Toronto, Social Distortion leads a bill that links decades of punk with rock’n’roll and roots edges. Mike Ness anchors the California band’s sound, where chugging riffs, rockabilly sway and country-blues shades carry stories of detours, relapse and second chances shaped since Mommy’s Little Monster, Prison Bound and the self-titled era. The set moves between early West Coast bite and later heartland colors, always direct and guitar-forward.

Sharing the night, Descendents bring fast, melodic hardcore: Bill Stevenson driving the tempo, Stephen Egerton’s zip-line guitars, and Milo Aukerman’s clipped, plainspoken hooks about school, crushes, caffeine and everyday static. It’s a through line from Milo Goes to College to Hypercaffium Spazzinate and 9th & Walnut, concise and wired.

Opening, The Chats crash in from Queensland with short, no-frills punk and pub-rock attitude, rattling through raw, catchy bursts and deadpan snapshots of working-life boredom and busted fun. Known for Smoko, the trio keeps it tight and unvarnished, a jolt that sets the tone for a night where three generations of punk rub shoulders on the same stage.
