Myrath

Formed in 2001 in Ezzahra near Tunis, Myrath develops a progressive metal rooted in power metal and nourished by North African and Middle Eastern melodies. Around founding guitarist Malek Ben Arbia and vocalist Zaher Zorgati, the band combines technical riffs, carefully crafted orchestrations and vocal lines carried by Arabic modes, producing a sound recognizable from the first measures. From the Double Face demo and their early days under the name X-Tazy, through Hope (2007), Desert Call (2010) and Tales of the Sands (2011), the band refined a balance between intensity and melodic clarity.

With Legacy (2016) and Shehili (2019), Myrath emphasized a more cinematic approach while remaining firmly within the metal framework, a direction continued by Karma (2024), which confirmed the band’s standing on the international scene. On 27 October 2026 at the Rockstore in Montpellier, Myrath presents this Eastern-influenced metal by drawing from their entire repertoire. The show features modal motifs, arrangements that let the vocals breathe, and a tight rhythm section designed for the stage. It’s a concert that links their early years to recent productions and highlights the musical bridge between the Maghreb, Europe and the Middle East.
