Pussy Riot

Pussy Riot arrives at Les Trinitaires in Metz on April 10, 2026 with Riot Days, a multimedia performance inspired by Maria Alyokhina’s memoir. On stage, live music, spoken word and video combine to revisit the 2012 action at the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, the subsequent trial, the prison experience, and what these episodes reveal about a country under pressure.

A feminist punk collective formed in Moscow in 2011, Pussy Riot operates in a fluid, variable configuration, moving between flash interventions in public spaces and musical creations. With Riot Days, the group frames a first‑person narrative in which punk riffs, chanted rap and electronic production structure a personal and political account. The show addresses the oppression of LGBTQ+ people, the trajectory of Alexei Navalny and the invasion of Ukraine, linking them to the collective’s history and modes of expression.

The staging is direct and frontal, made up of slogans, spoken sequences and images, transforming the concert into an artistic act of speaking out.
