Guns N’ Roses land in Edmonton on 27 August 2026 at Commonwealth Stadium with their World Tour 2026. Formed in Los Angeles in 1985 around Axl Rose and Slash, soon joined by Duff McKagan, Izzy Stradlin and Steven Adler, the band moved from the Sunset Strip to a global stage in a flash. Appetite for Destruction in 1987 set the pace, followed in 1991 by the twin Use Your Illusion albums, where they pushed from hard-edged riffs to more expansive songwriting. After years of reshuffles and the long-gestating Chinese Democracy in 2008, the return to the road of Axl, Slash and Duff since 2016 has opened a new chapter that bridges generations. On stage, they draw from every era, mixing intensity and breadth.
Also on the bill, The Black Crowes bring a blues-soaked, southern rock backbone. Born in Marietta, Georgia in the mid-80s around brothers Chris (vocals) and Rich Robinson (guitar), the band broke through with Shake Your Money Maker in 1990 and locked in their sound with The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion in 1992. Through the 90s and 2000s, albums like Amorica and long, improvisation-friendly tours shaped their live identity, including a notable run with Jimmy Page. After pauses and reformations, they returned with Warpaint in 2008 and Happiness Bastards in 2024, keeping that blend of riffs, keys and soulful backing vocals in motion.
