Badlands Music Festival touches down at Badlands Tent in Calgary on July 3, 2026, with Mau P joined by Notion.
Amsterdam-based producer and DJ Mau P, aka Maurits Westveen, pivoted from his earlier EDM alias Maurice West to this club-focused project in 2022. Under Mau P, he strips things back to direct house and tech house: rolling basslines, chopped vocals, and lean arrangements built for the dancefloor. His debut single Drugs From Amsterdam (2022), released via Insomniac Records and Repopulate Mars, set the project’s blueprint. Gimme That Bounce (2023) pushed the same tight, percussive groove, while Metro (2023), co-produced with Kevin de Vries for Afterlife, opened up to more melodic and techno-leaning textures. In the booth, he threads his own cuts with current club tools, keeping the low end steady and the rhythms crisp.
