Robyn Hitchcock lands at Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto on April 12, 2026 with his Live And Electric full-band set. First heard at the turn of the 1980s with The Soft Boys, he has since charted a singular path through folk-rock, psych-pop and alternative rock, from Black Snake Diamond Röle and Fegmania! to Element of Light, Globe of Frogs, Moss Elixir, and more recent releases Robyn Hitchcock and Shufflemania!. Onstage with a full group, he leans into the electric side of that catalogue: chiming guitars, tight grooves and lyrics that twist everyday images into offbeat scenes. The set ranges across decades, touching Soft Boys material, The Egyptians years and newer songs, keeping the melodic thread front and center.
Emma Swift joins the night. The Australian songwriter favors clean melodies and a measured delivery, bringing a focused clarity to her originals and select covers. Alongside Hitchcock’s band, her voice offers a steady counterpoint that lets the songs breathe while keeping the mood close and direct.
