Bonnie Tyler - 2026

On 30 May 2026 Bonnie Tyler is scheduled to perform an open-air concert on the Freilichtbühne in Wiesmoor. The singer, born in Wales, has shaped her blend of melodic rock, dramatic ballads and touches of country and soft rock since the late 1970s. Her distinctive, slightly raspy voice — the result of vocal cord surgery — became a trademark. After early albums such as The World Starts Tonight and Natural Force, her 1983 collaboration with Jim Steinman produced a sound that sat between rock and large-scale power ballads, with lush arrangements that have particular impact in concert.

On stage Tyler spans several decades of material: from the 1980s and 1990s with Secret Dreams and Forbidden Fire, Hide Your Heart and Bitterblue to more recent works such as Heart Strings, Rocks and Honey, Between the Earth and the Stars and The Best Is Yet to Come. In 2013 she represented the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest and has since been primarily active as a touring artist. In Wiesmoor she will present a direct, band-driven show that clearly puts her voice and songs at the centre.
