On 11 December 2026, Harmonic Brass will perform at the Martinikirche Buer in Melle. The Munich brass quintet, made up of two trumpets, horn, trombone and tuba, spans eras and styles: original works for brass sit alongside baroque transcriptions, contemporary pieces and arrangements with touches of jazz and popular music. At the centre is a chamber-music-like precision of ensemble playing and a unified, resonant sound—qualities that are particularly effective in a church setting.
The programmes combine early music and new scores, take passages conceived for orchestra or choir and condense them for quintet. Founded in the early 1990s in Munich, Harmonic Brass regularly appears in concert halls, at festivals and in churches. In Melle the ensemble will present its versatile sonic language with a repertoire that ranges between tradition and the present.
