Backstreet Boys: Into the Millennium - Homecoming: Live in Germany

With Into The Millennium – Homecoming: Live in Germany, the Backstreet Boys return to their roots in European pop. Active since 1993 as a vocal group from Orlando, AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrell emphasize pop and dance-pop with R&B influences and ballads carried by rich harmonies. Early on, Backstreet’s Back, Millennium and Black & Blue shaped their sound; later they broadened their palette toward adult pop with Never Gone, Unbreakable, This Is Us, In a World Like This and DNA.

The live set places the Millennium era at its center and blends it with more recent material. Characteristic elements remain multi-part choruses, tight interplay and choreographed passages that alternate between high-energy segments and quieter moments. The show acknowledges Germany’s role in the band’s early history and relies on a production that foregrounds vocals and group harmony without losing sight of the music’s danceable core.
