Romano is on stage at the Ponyhof in Frankfurt am Main on 16 March 2026. The Köpenick-born rapper and singer combines pop melodies, hip‑hop grooves and electronic textures into a sound that carries his stories: neighborhood life, everyday routines, characters on the margins. Having been active as Roman Geike in various scenes, he launched his Romano project in the mid‑2010s — with visually striking clips and a voice that balances precisely between speaking and singing, clearly articulated yet flexible.

With Jenseits von Köpenick (2015) he firmly rooted his lyrics in Berlin: portraits, places, brief snapshots framed by beats that weave rap rhythms with synth‑pop and hints of Schlager. Copyshop (2017) shifted the focus to work worlds — offices, standardized spaces — sober settings he mirrors with angular patterns and cool sounds. Live, Romano plays up the contrasts: East‑side aesthetics meet banlieue references, pose meets groundedness. He moves between rap‑adjacent passages, catchy refrains and electronic hues without smoothing out the friction. Berlin, Köpenick and their social shifts remain the red thread — in concert condensed into a concentrated set that tightly intertwines narrative and rhythm.
