Marillion

Marillion, a leading figure of British progressive rock, will be performing at La Laiterie in Strasbourg on 22 November 2026. Since the late 1970s, the band has shaped a blend of expansive melodies, narrative songwriting and arrangements in which guitars and keyboards establish nuanced atmospheres. With Steve Hogarth on vocals since 1989, alongside Steve Rothery, Mark Kelly, Pete Trewavas and Ian Mosley, the line-up covers its various eras on stage, from the drive of their early years to more contemporary textures.

The band favors long formats, fluid transitions and a dynamic that shifts from rock to atmospheric pop, with ambient and electronic touches. Recent tracks are woven together with the songs that have marked their path — from Script for a Jester’s Tear to Brave, Marbles, F E A R and An Hour Before It’s Dark — in a sequence conceived as a narrative. It is an opportunity to appreciate their taste for detail, sonic depth and melodic tension, propelled by a precise rhythm section, Steve Rothery’s expressive guitar and Steve Hogarth’s distinctive voice.
