Info
Jimmy Eat World and PUP share the stage at RBC Amphitheatre in Toronto on August 23, 2026. Two bands, two approaches to writing direct, memorable rock, brought together outdoors.
Formed in 1993 in Mesa, Arizona, Jimmy Eat World have evolved from indie-emo roots into precise, melodic alternative rock. Jim Adkins, Tom Linton, Rick Burch and Zach Lind build songs with bright guitars, carefully crafted structures and clear vocals. Albums such as Clarity, Bleed American, Futures, Chase This Light, Integrity Blues and Surviving mark a career that balances nervy tracks with more introspective pieces, always driven by a knack for a hook and a strong group dynamic.
PUP, a Toronto punk band that emerged in the 2010s, plays short, punchy and catchy songs. Tight riffs, snapping choruses and a dark, subtle sense of humor run through their music; the four‑piece pushes forward without detour, channeling a local energy that turns raw bursts into memorable tunes. Their compact approach yields taut sets—loud just enough—and encourages crowd sing‑alongs.
Reunited at RBC Amphitheatre on August 23, 2026, Jimmy Eat World and PUP promise an evening where alt‑tinged emo meets punk urgency, all carried by crisp melodies and direct songwriting.
