The Mejor Tarde Que Nunca Tour 2026 brings two key voices of modern bachata to Montréal. Romeo Santos and Prince Royce share the stage at Centre Bell on May 29, 2026.
Romeo Santos, born in the Bronx to Dominican and Puerto Rican parents, first rose as the lead singer of Aventura, the group that pushed bachata toward an urban blend with R&B, pop and hip-hop. Since 2011, his solo path has kept bachata at the core while opening it to pop arrangements, romantic ballads and collaborations across reggaeton, salsa and English-language R&B. From Fórmula, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 to Golden, Utopía and Fórmula, Vol. 3, his catalogue navigates love stories and Dominican roots, connecting Latin audiences and a wider international public without losing the guitar-driven pulse of the genre.
Prince Royce, also from the Bronx and of Dominican heritage, broke through in 2010 with a self-titled debut and a bachata take on Stand by Me. He followed with Phase II and Soy el Mismo, balancing traditional bachata, urban textures and a pop polish. Double Vision leaned toward English-language R&B before a return to guitar-led bachata on Five and the dual moods of Alter Ego. Along the way, collaborations with Shakira, Daddy Yankee, Jennifer Lopez and Maluma marked his path, extended recently with Llamada Perdida in 2024.
