UB40 brings The Unstoppable Tour 2026 to the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver on October 18, 2026. Formed in late-70s Birmingham, the band shaped a distinctive blend of reggae, pop and rock with brass up front and a steady mid-tempo groove. Their name came from the UK unemployment form; the early years leaned into dub textures and social lyrics, captured on Signing Off (1980) and Present Arms (1981). From 1983, the Labour of Love series reworked 60s and 70s reggae staples, opening the door to a more melodic, radio-ready approach later heard on Promises and Lies (1993). Lineup changes in the 2000s, including the departures of Ali Campbell and later Astro, reshaped the project, yet UB40 kept touring and recording with long-time members and new voices. On stage, the set often threads early politically minded cuts with the covers that marked their journey, carried by horns, warm basslines and an unhurried pulse made for live rooms.
