Formed by childhood friends in Iceland, Kaleo builds a raw, melodic bridge between blues rock, folk and alternative. Fronted by JJ Julius Son’s taut vocal and guitar work, with David Antonsson on drums, Daniel Kristjansson on bass and Rubin Pollock on guitar, the band moves between electric grit and stripped‑back ballads, playing on quiet‑loud dynamics and roots textures. After an early rise at home and a move to the US, Kaleo shaped its identity on A/B and Surface Sounds, threading slide guitars, acoustic laments and a few Icelandic turns into setlists that have taken them from clubs to major festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo. Expect cornerstones like All the Pretty Girls, No Good and Way Down We Go alongside newer cuts.
