Suarez

On 5 November 2026 Suarez will be at the Théâtre Royal, Grand-Place, 7000 Mons. The Belgian band from Mons, led by singer-guitarist Marc Pinilla and featuring musicians with Malagasy roots, colours its French-language pop with acoustic guitars and smooth rhythms drawing as much from folk as from African music. The songs remain close to everyday life: relationships, detours, doubts and everything in between.

Since their debut On n’est pas là pour se faire engueuler (2008), Suarez has gradually built a recognisable signature, further honed on L’Indécideur (2010), En équilibre (2014) and Ni rime ni raison (2018). Melodies that linger gently, percussion that goes under the skin, and arrangements that place Pinilla’s voice at the centre: live, the group translates this into an organic set where vocal harmonies and rhythm set the tone, on a clear acoustic foundation.
