The Sisters of Mercy

The Sisters of Mercy return to France with a stop in Marseille, at Le Silo, on October 1, 2026. Formed in Leeds at the turn of the 1980s, the band moves between post-punk, gothic rock and dark new wave. Andrew Eldritch leads the charge, his deep voice held aloft, lyrics with a biting undertone, supported by programmed rhythms and guitars that carve clean lines.

On stage, The Sisters of Mercy draw from a repertoire shaped by several phases of the band’s history. Landmark tracks such as "First and Last and Always", "Temple of Love" and "Lucretia My Reflection" sit alongside less frequently played numbers and tour-only new material. Floodland established atmospheres fed by keyboards; Vision Thing tightened the sound around more direct guitars — both approaches can still be heard today in taut live versions, sometimes stripped-back, sometimes denser.
