Info
On November 3, 2026 at L’Aéronef in Lille, Sam Sauvage will present an alternative pop that draws on 1980s rock, new wave and a poetry of the everyday. A self-taught singer-songwriter from northern France, he crafts songs that are at once direct and evocative, where the lyrics steer taut rhythms and retro-tinged melodies without nostalgia. In terms of influences, one thinks as much of Bashung for the writing as of Talking Heads for the rhythmic sway, with a storytelling sense that evokes a certain contemporary francophone school.
Brought to light by a self-titled first EP released on Cinq 7, Sam Sauvage refines on stage a format that blends rock tension, electronic precision and a very embodied presence. His tracks live as much through the voice as through the arrangements, oscillating between minimal pulses and grittier outbursts. Ahead of a debut album expected in 2026, this appearance at L’Aéronef is an opportunity to hear new songs and to gauge how his universe expands live, between restrained energy, dark atmospheres and choruses that settle in effortlessly.
