Les Bodin's « Grandeur nature »

Les Bodin’s return to the Zénith de Caen on March 26, 2027 with Grandeur Nature, their show that brings the Touraine farm and its rural daily life to the stage. Led by Vincent Dubois and Jean-Christian Fraiscinet, the duo plays their two signature characters: Maria, a blunt, plain-spoken countrywoman, and Christian, the son who stayed on the farm, in a chronicle of country life and its clashes with the modern world. Rapid-fire dialogue, a pronounced accent, domestic misunderstandings and intrusive neighbours feed a popular theatre honed since the 1990s, which has passed through the stage, cinema and widely distributed recordings. After the 30th-anniversary tour, Grandeur Nature hits the road again in 2027. In Caen, audiences will find an immersive set, multi-layered situations and a duo that upends family habits to better reveal what holds a community together. Les Bodin’s continue their trajectory while maintaining a clear rural footing.
