Jacques Duvall & Benjamin Schoos

Ten years after their last collaboration, Jacques Duvall and Benjamin Schoos reunite for Plein Sommeil, a duo album that observes the fatigue of the modern world with melancholy and irony. They will present it live on 5 March 2026 at Les Trois Baudets, 64 boulevard de Clichy, 75018 Paris.

A lyricist for Lio, Alain Chamfort, Jane Birkin and Dani, Jacques Duvall has also pursued a singular career as a singer, driven by sharp writing and a taste for meticulously crafted melodies. His songs play on textual clarity, emotional distance and a discreet elegance, situated between francophone popular song and slightly offbeat pop.

Opposite him, Benjamin Schoos, also known as Miam Monster Miam, comes from a DIY strain inherited from the Belgian indie scene of the 2000s. A producer, arranger and co‑founder of the Freaksville label, he moves between lo‑fi pop and broader orchestrations, guided by a melodic instinct that summons brass, strings and psychedelic touches.

Their collaboration began with Hantises (2006) and continued through songs written for others, from Brussels to Paris. With Plein Sommeil, they finally share the same microphone and reconnect as a duo with a craft-driven pop, free of superfluous effects. On stage, the program will feature the new songs and a few detours into their shared repertoire.
