Classically trained yet fully at ease with pop culture, Gregory Charles is a Québec pianist-singer who likes to blur lines. Raised in a Quebecois and Trinidadian family, he cut his teeth on choir scores and concertos before steering toward songwriting and the stage. His Music Man project lives on improvisation: medleys stitched on the fly, quick left turns from soul to chanson, gospel shouts beside jazz voicings, and a steady back-and-forth with the room. Bilingual and curious, he pulls from standards and current hits with the same ease, turning the piano into a groove engine rather than a museum piece. Years of TV hosting and choral direction sharpen his timing and his way of guiding big sing-alongs, while his pop sense keeps everything light on its feet.
