Info

Alan Doyle, longtime singer, guitarist and songwriter from Great Big Sea, brings his blend of Atlantic folk and pop-rock to L’Olympia in Montreal on March 14, 2026. Raised in Petty Harbour, Newfoundland and Labrador, he draws on Celtic pulses, coastal refrains and a clear storyteller’s touch. Since starting his solo path with Boy on Bridge in 2012, then So Let’s Go and A Week at the Warehouse, he has broadened the palette while staying close to maritime colors. The EPs Rough Side Out and Back to the Harbour continue that balance between acoustic ballads, call-and-response tunes and more electric cuts, often rooted in East Coast life and tradition. On stage, Doyle leads a tight band through reels, shanty-tinged songs and compact rock numbers, shifting from guitar-driven energy to quieter, narrative moments, with melodies built to travel from pubs to big rooms. Venue: L’Olympia, 1004 Sainte-Catherine Street East, Montreal, Canada.
