Info

Portuguese singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist MARO (Mariana Secca) brings So Much Has Changed to Théâtre Beanfield in Montréal on April 15, 2026. Moving between pop, folk and soul with touches of jazz and lusophone influences, she shapes songs where layered vocal harmonies meet acoustic textures and straightforward, melodic writing. A Berklee graduate, she first emerged through intimate voice-and-guitar videos mixing original pieces and reworked covers, before taking that approach to stages across Europe and the United States.

In 2018 she released a trilogy — MARO, Vol. 1, Vol. 2 and Vol. 3 — that set up a bilingual repertoire in Portuguese and English, from close-knit ballads to more expansive vocal work. In 2022 she represented Portugal at Eurovision with Saudade, saudade after the Festival da Canção, widening her international reach. Alongside her solo path, she multiplies collaborations within vocal ensembles, notably around Jacob Collier, and keeps balancing studio recordings, filmed sessions and touring. Under the So Much Has Changed banner, she brings that evolution to the stage at Théâtre Beanfield.
