Sloan bring A Tour de Force to Montreal on March 7, 2026 at Le Studio TD. Formed in early-90s Halifax, the quartet of Chris Murphy, Jay Ferguson, Patrick Pentland and Andrew Scott built a power-pop leaning indie rock where melodic guitars and immediate refrains set the tone. With all four members writing and singing, their songs shift naturally from bright pop to sturdier rock and slower, mid-tempo turns, while keeping a clear thread.

From Smeared through Twice Removed, One Chord to Another and Navy Blues, then Never Hear the End of It, Commonwealth, 12 and Steady, the catalog traces three decades of shared authorship, vocal harmonies and quiet nods to 60s/70s rock. On stage, that rotating front line and occasional instrument swaps shape lean arrangements: tight hooks, stacked voices, riffs that hit without excess. The show leans on the band’s four-way chemistry, balancing familiar favorites and deeper cuts, and letting the songwriting stay front and center.
