New Jersey producer Aaron Velasquez, aka Flamingosis, brings a set that threads future funk, nu-disco and chillhop. Sampling 70s and 80s funk, soul and disco, he builds laid-back to mid-tempo grooves, basslines with a boogie feel and melodies shaded by jazz. His name comes from a frisbee move invented by his father, a playful nod that echoes through his artwork and track titles. After a run of online beat tapes in the early 2010s, he shaped a solid catalogue with Pleasure Palette (2015), Bright Moments (2016), A Groovy Thing (2017) and Flight Fantastic (2021), moving between reworks, disco edits and originals. On stage, he performs in DJ set format, reshaping his tracks, remixes and collaborations into a steady dancefloor flow.
