Cake bring their unmistakable blend of alternative rock, country edges, funk pulse and indie pop economy to Toronto. Formed in Sacramento in the early 1990s, the band built a lean, minimal sound around John McCrea’s talk-sung vocals, the melodic trumpet of Vince DiFiore, prominent bass lines and dry, clipped rhythms.
