Info
Echo & The Bunnymen land in Vancouver with More Songs To Learn & Sing, a set built around four decades of songwriting that drift between post‑punk tension, alternative rock and a touch of shadowy psychedelia. Born in late‑70s Liverpool around Ian McCulloch, Will Sergeant and Les Pattinson, later joined by drummer Pete de Freitas, the band shaped a sound where reverb‑laden guitars, discreet keyboards and tight bass lines frame melodies that carry a cool, melancholic pull without sinking into gloom.
From the raw edges of Crocodiles and Heaven Up Here to the more orchestrated sweep of Porcupine and Ocean Rain, then the return marked by Evergreen and the 2000s albums through to Meteorites, their catalogue draws a clear line between atmosphere and clarity. The 2018 collection The Stars, The Oceans & The Moon even revisited key tracks, a thread that continues on stage. On 11 May 2026 at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, the group reconnects with this repertoire, stretching from the early years to later chapters, with arrangements that let the songs breathe and the textures unfold in the room.
