Info

On April 6, 2026, mclusky take over The Mod Club, 722 College Street, Toronto. Formed in Cardiff at the end of the 1990s, the trio forged a noise rock and post‑hardcore sound built on abrasive guitars, dry rhythms and terse, ironic lyrics. Centered around singer-guitarist Andrew Falkous with bassist Jon Chapple, the band set its template with My Pain and Sadness Is More Sad and Painful Than Yours (2000), then tightened the screws on Mclusky Do Dallas (2002) and The Difference Between Me and You Is That I’m Not on Fire (2004), recorded with Steve Albini. After splitting in 2005, mclusky returned to the stage in the mid‑2010s, performing under the mclusky name and revisiting a catalogue that marked indie and noise circuits across the UK, Europe and North America.

Support comes from Pile. Born on the Boston independent scene around Rick Maguire’s songwriting before evolving into a full band, Pile moves between indie rock, noise rock and post‑hardcore with fractured tempos, dense guitars and sharp dynamic shifts. The vocals navigate restraint and tension, with introspective lyrics. From Dripping and You’re Better Than This to A Hairshirt of Purpose, Green and Gray and All Fiction, the group keeps nudging its sound without breaking from its early foundations.

Legal age 19+ show.
