Claire Rosinkranz lands in Toronto with the My Lover Tour, a night built around her unfiltered indie pop writing and soft-swing rhythms. The Californian singer and songwriter started crafting songs with her dad as a kid, then put early demos online before Backyard Boy spread in 2020, lifted from the EP BeVerly Hills BoYfRiEnd. Since then she has traced a clear line: tight bedroom-pop hooks, light R&B shades and a conversational tone anchored in day-to-day feelings. The 2021 EP 6 Of A Billion pushed that diary-like approach, while the debut album Just Because in 2023 widened the palette with sparse ballads and brisk, groove-led tracks.
On stage, she threads those moods with an easy flow, shifting from intimate storytelling to bounce-ready cuts without overplaying it.
