Info
Rise Against hits L’Olympia in Montreal on March 7, 2026, with the Chicago band’s blend of punk rock and melodic hardcore carried by the voice of Tim McIlrath. Formed in the late 1990s by McIlrath and bassist Joe Principe, the group moved from the urgency of The Unraveling and Revolutions per Minute to the wider structures of Siren Song of the Counter Culture and The Sufferer & the Witness. With guitarist Zach Blair joining drummer Brandon Barnes, they’ve since linked fast bursts and mid-tempo tension across Appeal to Reason, Endgame, The Black Market, Wolves and Nowhere Generation, with lyrics that look at social friction, US politics and the everyday dynamics of power.
Also on the bill, Destroy Boys come from Sacramento’s DIY network, led by singer-guitarist Alexia Roditis and guitarist Violet Mayugba. The trio pushes quick, melodic punk shot through with pop-punk, garage and grunge, and texts about identity, relationships, gendered violence and mental health. From early self-released tracks to Sorry, Mom and Make Room, then Open Mouth, Open Heart on Hopeless Records, they keep one foot in alternative, queer and feminist scenes while staying concise and to the point.
