Dany Boon « Clown n'est pas un métier »

Dany Boon returns to the stage with Clown n’est pas un métier (Clown Is Not a Profession), a new one-man show in which he rediscovers what made him known: an eye that picks up the small details of everyday life, gags that start from nothing, and that way of turning an anecdote into a scene you later retell among friends. After several years away from the stage, the comedian goes back to his childhood dream and once again engages in a face-to-face with the audience, without any superfluous set—just the microphone and the energy of the moment.

Between characters sketched on the fly, situations that sound true and backstage confidences, he speaks about what making people laugh really entails, the nerves that accompany every entrance, and the shifting boundary between play and life. His sense of observation, sudden changes of tone and that timing that catches laughter in midair are all present, alongside more intimate passages that let the craftsman behind the clown emerge.
