Info
On October 6, 2026, James Baker took the stage at Le Trianon in Paris as part of his Romy Tour. Raised in the Paris suburbs and self-taught, he moves beyond genre boundaries, navigating between indie pop, alternative rock, electronic music and rap. As a songwriter, composer, performer and producer, he shapes the contours of a universe conceived like a film, where every detail matters.
More than isolated tracks, his songs unfold stories nourished by an unabashed cinephilia. His next project, Romy Rose, draws on Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and takes the form of a conceptual double EP. It features melancholic pop and electronic hues, with echoes of Djo, Fontaines D.C., Daft Punk and The Strokes, for a songwriting that dwells on memory, the urge to erase and emotional resilience.
With a raw sensitivity, James Baker addresses denial, love and identity. Each piece is envisaged as a scene, sharp or blurred, that assembles memories and the present. At Le Trianon, he unfurls this musical narrative without artifice, true to a vision that privileges clarity and coherence in its story.
