On April 3, 2026, Júníus Meyvant will perform at I.Boat Bordeaux. Behind this name is the Icelander Unnar Gísli Sigurmundsson, born and raised on the Westman Islands. A singer-songwriter, he has been building his career for several years under this alias, with direct songwriting and a strong sense of melody.

Discovered in 2014 with his first single “Color Decay,” which was picked up internationally by KEXP, NPR, Clash Magazine, Line Of Best Fit and Gaffa, he went on to receive two Icelandic Music Awards the following year—for best single and breakthrough artist. Albums and headlining tours followed worldwide, with notable appearances at Denmark’s Roskilde Festival and Seattle’s Bumbershoot, and invitations to open for Kaleo on European tours in 2022 and 2024.
