Broken Back takes over La Cigale, Paris, on 5 December 2026. The project of French singer-songwriter Jérôme Fagnet, Broken Back draws a clear line between folk and electronic: acoustic guitar to the fore, loops, understated synths and sturdy rhythms. On stage he builds his tracks live, shifting from intimate picking to a more danceable pulse, and carries the audience along without excess. On the bill are his signature songs like Happiest Man on Earth and Halcyon Birds, mixed with more recent material, all driven by a clear voice and spare arrangements. La Cigale lends itself well to this blend of intimacy and collective momentum, where choruses are shared and textures evolve over the course of the set. It’s an opportunity to traverse his world, from his beginnings to his current compositions, in a live show that balances energy and delicacy, light electronics and firmly rooted acoustics.
