Info
After fifteen years on the road with La Femme, the band he co-founded, Marlon Magnée opens a new solo chapter. His first single, Nuage Gris, released on November 12, defines its contours: intersections of rockabilly, punk, cold wave and psychobilly, sixties guitars, eighties synths, prominent drum machines and an energy without frills. On April 7, 2026 at Le Ferrailleur in Nantes, he presents this turn on stage, with a signature that mixes electric tension and shadowy, chiaroscuro melodies.
His influences are declared outright, from Velvet Underground to The Stranglers, from Motörhead to The Cure, via The Stray Cats and JJ Cale, and including France’s own legacy of Gainsbourg, Les Rita Mitsouko, Métal Urbain, Plastic Bertrand and Marc Charlan. Nuage Gris was co-produced with Renaud Letang at Studio Ferber, the starting point of a freewheeling, taut solo venture. Live, Marlon assembles these references into a tight set—biting riffs, tense keyboards and synthetic pulses—somewhere between the shadow of the 1960s and the mechanics of the 1980s.
