Alex Montembault

Alex Montembault moves forward with a gentle voice and a keen sense of melody. Trained in jazz and nourished by French chanson and 1970s progressive rock, he writes songs that explore identity, family and silence. On guitar or piano, he seeks the rightness of words and subtlety rather than showmanship, with spare arrangements and a flexible, jazz-derived rhythmic feel. He was first noticed in Starmania, where he portrayed Marie-Jeanne. He now unveils a personal repertoire, conceived for the stage in an intimate format.

At La Boule Noire in Paris on 12 March 2026, Alex appeared for the first time as a solo artist.
