Les Négresses Vertes

Les Négresses Vertes are back on March 12, 2026 at L'Usine - Scènes et Cinés Istres with the Zobi Tour 2026. Formed in Paris in the late 1980s, the band forged a distinctive blend: punk energy, clear-eyed poetry and cross-cultural rhythms, combining acoustic guitars, accordion and brass. Think of “Zobi la mouche,” “Voilà l’été” or “Sous le soleil de Bodega,” choruses that have traveled far beyond rock stages.

Reunited in 2018, they performed more than 350 concerts before returning to the road to celebrate over 35 years of history. The set explores the band’s many facets, revisited without betraying the original spirit: Latin and Gypsy pulses, urgent acoustic rock, realist chanson carried by a raspy voice and a tight rhythm section. The chemistry remains collective: the brass answers the guitars, the arrangements tighten the groove and trance gradually takes hold, alternating between lyric-driven ballads and the rapturous surges of popular dance. It’s an opportunity to dive back into a repertoire that spans eras and continues to move both bodies and words.
